Computer Science and Engineering Department has nearly 320 Desktop systems available.

Labs have full power back-up and server room facility  to monitor the issues of labs and other facilities.

 

 

DATABASE AND MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS LAB

Course Objectives:

This course provides the students to implement the concepts practically they learn in Database Management System. It helps to learn developing databases for applications, softwares, organizations.  This course will develop the students ability by making them learn creating, deleting, Updating, Modifying databases using Commands and Queries. “MySQL” database is used as a tool in this course. 

Course Outcomes:

  • Ability to design a database and schema for application and softwares.

  • Skill to use Normalization techniques for real life projects.

  • Ability to use DDL, DML , DCL command and designing and modifying queries in database.

 

 

 

 

NETWORK AND SECURITY LAB

Course Objectives: 

This course provides the students to understand the factors related to the security of networks. Studying this course gives the insight of basic concepts and principles of network security, the current problems in the area, how network security is affected because of attacks and vulnerabilities. Students will get to understand how to apply these concepts on real world problems.

Learning outcomes

  • Ability to explain principles and factors associated with network security.

  • Ability to classify attacks, threats and vulnerabilities of the network.

  • Understand the encryption and decryption techniques for networks.

  • Ability to work with real life networks and securities.

 

 

JAVA PROGRAMMING LAB

Course Objectives:

This course helps students in understanding the concepts of Object Oriented Language and how to apply them to solve various problems. Java Programming helps to understand the basics of Console, GUI basics, and Applets.

Course Outcomes:

  • Skills to develops dynamic web pages using JAVA.

  • Ability to apply object oriented methods and functions in real life projects.

  • Ability to perform GUI based learning and Applets in applications.

 

C, C++ LAB

Course Objectives:

This course helps students to know the basics of procedural language (C) and Object oriented language(C++) . It helps to have the knowledge of developing static and dynamic applications on the web.

Course Outcomes:

  • Skills to develop basic programs with C and C++ programming languages.

  • Ability to create web pages using C++ programming.

  • Skills to perform file handling.

  • Skills to implement object oriented concepts.

 

DATA STRUCTURES AND ALGORITHMS LAB

Course Objectives:

This course helps students in getting understanding of linear and non linear data structures. How these concepts are useful in real life projects and how they affect time and complexity of structures. 

Course Outcomes:

  • Understanding of basic concepts of data structures.

  • Utilization of Asymptotic notations in data structures.

  • Skills to implement searching and sorting algorithms .

  • Ability to implement linear and non linear data structures.

  • Ability to perform programs for arrays, linked list, queues, stacks, graphs, trees etc.

 

WEB TECHNOLOGIES LAB

Course Objectives:

This course helps to get understand the basic concepts of HTML, XML, JAVASCRIPT, PHP and AJAX. It helps students to get hands on experience for Client side and Server side scripting. Students gets to understand how to process XML with Java.

Course Outcomes:

  • Ability to perform client side scripting

  • Ability to perform server side scripting using PHP language, JAVA Servlets and JSP

  • Understanding of concepts based on XML and XML using JAVA.

 

LINUX PROGRAMMING LAB

Course Objectives:

This lab provides environment to work with linux utilities and environment. Students solve problems on scripting language(bash) and they get to aware with file systems. This course helps to develop skills to perform Socket programming.

Course Outcomes:

  • Ability to explain utilities and environment of LINUX.

  • Ability to perform interprocess communication, signal management and process management.

  • Ability to work with terminal(bash) in linux environment.

  • Ability to implement linux utilities using system calls.

  • Ability to perform shell scripting in linux.

 

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING LAB

Course Objectives:

This lab helps to know what is software engineering. What different life cycles can be utilized for projects. It helps to get aware with UML diagrams, flow diagrams, activity diagrams, CPM and PERT charts which helps to work with project development.

Course Outcomes:

  • Ability to develop life cycle for project development.

  • Ability to work with activity charts.

  • Tools: Rational Rose, UMLGraph, Topcased

 

DATA MINING LAB

Course Objectives:

The objective of the course is to understand the basic customer segments, OLAB concepts, basic terminologies related to data mining. Data mining concepts are implemented using WEKA tool.

Course Outcomes:

  • Ability to develop decision trees and implement it using OLAB facility.

  • Ability to create mining models.

  • Ability to work with Data Mining tool (WEKA or any other)

 

OPERATING SYSTEMS LAB

Course Objectives:

This course helps to understand the basic linux environment using system calls. Students gets the basic understanding of scheduling algorithms, page replacement algorithms, file allocation methos, ipc mechanisms, synchronization problems.

Course Outcomes

  • Ability to perform interprocess communication.

  • Understanding to perfrom synchronization problems, page replacement problems.

  • Ability to perform scheduling, deadlock, memory  and file management

 

COMPUTER NETWORKS LAB

Course Objectives:

This course helps to understand behavior of networks. Students gets to aware with TCP, OSI layers, subnetting, supernetting and other networking concepts

Course Outcomes:

  • Ability to develop networks using networking tools.

  • Understanding of basic concepts of TCP and OSI layers.

  • Ability to perform subnetting and supernetting concepts.

 

IT WORKSHOP

Course Objectives:

This course helps to know basics of computers, installation of harwares and softwares. Students gets aware with document development tools and softwares.

Course Outcomes:

  • Ability to develop documents, presentations etc. with tools.

  • Ability to install hardware and softwares.

  • Ability to know about files and folders in operating systems.
